The Diocesan Education Board (C.N.I) under the Chairmanship of the (Late)Bishop A.R. Yusuf accepted the proposal of Dr. S.D. Chand, Principal Ewing Christian College to start and English-medium primary school from the academic year 1992-93 in the vacant building of the Rhea hostel as a branch of Bishop Johnson School & College.
Registration of children in preparatory class and I stated at Bishop Johnson School from July 1992. 41 children were admitted.
School started in 3 renovated rooms of the Rhea hostel building.
Mrs. C.N. Browne was appointed the headmistress along with two teachers- Mrs. Rubby Solomon and Km. Suneeta Lyall, 3 supporting staff- Sri. Ram Chandra, Jokhai Ram and Smt. Laxmi, and later Mr. Ajai Kadam was appointed in the office. Dr. Samuel John, Bursar of E.C College looked after the school accounts.
Class II was added.
The School after completion of one year was formally inaugurated by the (late) Bishop A.R. Yusuf.
Bishop A.R. Stephen took over the Chairmanship of the School's Committee of Management after the death of Bishop A.R. Yusuf in December 1995.
Mrs. Browne retired in June 1996 and Mrs. Shireen Chand was appointed as the new Principal.Number of students rose to 344 and staff 13.
Construction started for the new Eastern wing of the school for accommodating class VII.Computer Education started from class III onward.
New salary grades to the staff implemented. Students strength rose to 925. April 1999 to March 2003 :- School continued to function as a middle school.
School granted affiliation by the CBSE with the change of the name to ' Ewing Christian Public School '. First batch of students in class IX admitted.
New Scheme of Administration for the school as approved by the Diocesam Education Board of the Diocese of Lucknow implemented and the School started functioning as an independent unit.
The First meeting of the Committee of Management according to the new scheme of administration held on 4 November 2004 under the Chairmanship of Bishop A.R. Stephen.
Upgradation of the School by the CBSE to senior secondary level from the session 2005-06. First batch of students admitted in Class XI in Science and Commerce.
Ground floor of Administrative-cum-teaching block completed as the West wing of the old building. New Computer Laboratory added.
Pucca cycle stand for students completed.
First batch of Class XII students pass out.Nursery Class Stated.
School certified as Minority Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions.
125 KVA Diesel-electric generator installed.Pucca basketball court made available for students.
Second floor of West wing completed. New salary grades to teachers on the basis of Sixth Pay Commission introduced.
School completes 17 years of existence; student strength crosses 3000 mark. The school is fulfilling a great need for a good English-medium educational institution in the southern part of the city of Allahabad.
